Find out how to extend the life of your favorite workout clothes.
Good sportswear is an investment. Proper care will make your favorite leggings and tops last much longer!
1. Laundry - basic rules
Temperature: Always wash in cool water (max 30°C). High temperatures can damage the elastic fibers and reduce moisture-wicking properties.
Detergent: Use mild detergents. Avoid fabric softeners—they clog the fabric's pores and reduce its breathability.
Turn inside out: This protects colors and prints from fading.
2. Don't delay washing
Don't leave wet, sweaty clothes in your gym bag! Bacteria and moisture can damage the material. If you can't wash them right away, at least hang them to dry.
3. Drying
Best: Air dry, away from direct sunlight.
Avoid: Tumble dryer - high temperatures damage elastic fibers and shorten the life of your clothes.
4. Storage
Fold or hang. Avoid placing heavy items on top, which could stretch the fabric.
5. Special indications
- Sports bras: Fasten the hooks before washing to avoid damaging other clothes.
- Jackets: Check the tags - some require special washing
- Stains: Remove immediately with mild soap.
What to avoid?
- Bleaches - they destroy fibers and colors
- Ironing - high temperature damages technical materials
- Washing with clothes with zippers - may damage delicate fabrics
Remember: Well-cared for sportswear will retain its shape, color and functionality for many years!
